We will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo and take you to the historic center of Africa’s largest city.

Our first stop will be the Cairo Citadel, a massive medieval fortress that has become the city’s most famous non-archaeological landmark. Inside, we’ll admire the beautifully decorated Mosque of Muhammad Ali, known as the Alabaster Mosque for its smooth white stone.

After leaving the Citadel, we’ll head to Khan el-Khalili, Cairo’s most famous market, with its winding streets resembling a veritable open-air museum. Khan el-Khalili is the perfect place to buy souvenirs and replicas of ancient Egypt.

We’ll then stop for lunch after visiting the market, where we’ll enjoy a menu of salads and a main course with rice and vegetables. For dessert, we’ll enjoy a refreshing fruit salad.

In the afternoon, we’ll head to the Egyptian Museum, the most important museum not only in Egypt, but perhaps in the world. Here, you’ll find masterpieces of antiquity, most notably the legendary treasures of Tutankhamun. We’ll pass through Coptic Cairo, one of the city’s unique neighborhoods, and visit the Mu’allaqa, known as the Hanging Church, built on the ruins of the Tower of Babel. We’ll then conclude our tour with a visit to the Church of Saints Sergius and Bacchus, also known as the Cave Church, where the Holy Family hid after their flight to Egypt. We’ll then return to the hotel.
