Valley of the Nobles, Medinet Habu, and Deir el-Medina are among the most important archaeological sites on the West Bank of Luxor, each with its own unique character and a different visiting experience.
You will be Picked up from your hotel early in the morning, you’ll head to Luxor’s West Bank, where you’ll find the ancient Theban Necropolis.
Our first stop will be Medinet Habu, home to the Temple of Ramses III, one of the city’s most important religious monuments. Its entrance is 63 meters wide and 22 meters high and features a statue of the pharaoh himself punishing some prisoners.
The tour will continue to the Valley of the Nobles, where you’ll find more than 500 tombs belonging to members of the Egyptian aristocracy. We’ll peer inside several of the tombs to admire their decorations. Although less attractive to grave robbers, they are usually in much better condition than the royal tombs.
Our final stop will be Deir el-Medina, an Egyptian city founded by Thutmose I to house the workers and residents of ancient Egypt. For over 450 years, this city was inhabited by the builders and designers of the royal tombs. The tour concludes with a return trip to your hotel or boat.
