The Sound and Light Show at Karnak Temple is one of the most famous and beautiful evening tourists shows in Luxor, and is a unique artistic and historical experience.

Trip plan

The tour begins at your hotel in downtown Luxor at 5:30 PM or 6 PM, and you’ll be transferred to your cruise ship to head to the famous Karnak Temple.

Karnak was built over 2,000 years ago and is today the largest and best-preserved Egyptian temple. Exploring it by day is an incredible experience, but discovering Egypt’s history while the temple is illuminated at night is a treat you’ll never forget.

The Light and Sound Show at Karnak Temple takes two hours, during which you’ll enjoy a tour around the temple to admire its stunning architecture from a different perspective, until you reach the Great Sacred Lake. Here, you’ll sit and be amazed as the temple is illuminated before your eyes.

During the show, a pharaoh will narrate the story of the capital of the New Kingdom, alongside legendary figures from Egypt’s history—Tutankhamun, Ramses II, and Queen Hatshepsut.

After the show, you’ll be transferred back to your hotel, arriving around 9 PM.
